Eldo Urban Initiative for booming off our area to create a safe space for all.
A Community Initiative
Eldo Urban is an initiative driven by an interim committee.
The plan is to boom off the area between Old Johannesburg Road, Ruimte Ave and Saxby Ave.
Our main aim is to decrease crime in our area, increase property value and most important, make the area safe again.
Kids will be able to play in the streets again till late, parents / adults will be able to walk the streets again during dark.

Community
-Security WhatsApp Group.
-70% Consent.
-Debit Orders Running.
-Approved CUP to fix streetlights.
-Wayleave approved for speedbumps in Frederik and vd Merwe street.
Application
-Application handed in February 2024.
-Eldo Urban application was on the SLDT July 2025 agenda to be discussed for approval; awaiting feedback.
Security
-7 Monitored Cameras Installed in the area.
-Fence Installed on Weavind Ave Perimeter cleared.
-19 Cameras Installed on Perimeter.
-2x LPR Cameras installed at each entrance.
-Virtual Boom Off phase 1 cameras installed.
